With Schoorbs 1.1 I want to remove some old stuff from Schoorbs which we took on from MRBS. This should help us with the development of new features, speed up the GUI and/or should be less maintance work during the development. The following goals should be reached with Schoorbs 1.1:

  • Database abstraction using Creole
  • Automated documentation generation for the REST interface
  • REST interface output should be done by SimpleXML not by Smarty
  • Without adding new features, Schoorbs should consist of less than 15k lines of code (see ohloh.net->Schoorbs)
  • Drop support for PHP4, use PHP5 Classes, Objects and Exceptions (Schoorbs 1.0 will still be supported and will have support for PHP4)

Update: Schoorbs 1.1 will be expected in september 2008, a half year after the release of Schoorbs 1.0.
